Biweekly Paycheck Calculator

Salary ↔ biweekly gross/net, 26 vs 24 paychecks, and which months get an extra paycheck.

Estimates only — not tax, payroll, or financial advice. This is a simplified educational calculator (2026-ish federal brackets + standard deduction, employee FICA, optional flat state tax). It is not IRS Publication 15-T withholding, a substitute for your W-4, or a tax return. Real paystubs vary with credits, benefits, local taxes, additional Medicare tax, and your employer’s payroll system. Confirm numbers with a qualified tax or payroll professional.

About this tool

Biweekly Paycheck Calculator is a free online calculator on PaystubKit, the paycheck tools hub from One More Turn Ventures LLC (OMTV). Salary ↔ biweekly gross/net, 26 vs 24 paychecks, and which months get an extra paycheck.

What it does: If a coworker says they are “paid twice a month,” they may mean semimonthly (24) not biweekly (26). This tool makes the mix-up visible.

When to use it: Use it for planning and offer comparisons — then confirm against your actual paystub.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 26 vs 24 paycheck difference?

True biweekly pay is 26 checks a year (sometimes 27). Semimonthly is 24 checks a year (1st and 15th, or similar). Dividing salary by 24 instead of 26 overstates each check.

When do I get three paychecks in a month?

On a biweekly calendar, two months typically contain three Fridays (or whatever payday you use). Those are “extra paycheck” months — cash-flow, not extra salary.

How do you convert salary to biweekly gross?

Biweekly gross ≈ annual salary ÷ 26. Semimonthly gross ≈ annual salary ÷ 24.

Can I go from biweekly gross back to salary?

Yes. Annual gross ≈ biweekly gross × 26. We also show the 24-paycheck (semimonthly) comparison so the two methods are not mixed up.

Is the net estimate official?

No. Net uses the same simplified federal/FICA engine as the other tools — educational only.
