Hourly to Salary Calculator

Convert an hourly rate to weekly, biweekly, monthly, and annual pay. Optional overtime at 1.5× over 40.

Estimates only — not tax, payroll, or financial advice. This is a simplified educational calculator (2026-ish federal brackets + standard deduction, employee FICA, optional flat state tax). It is not IRS Publication 15-T withholding, a substitute for your W-4, or a tax return. Real paystubs vary with credits, benefits, local taxes, additional Medicare tax, and your employer’s payroll system. Confirm numbers with a qualified tax or payroll professional.

Frequently asked questions

How do you convert hourly to salary?

Weekly gross = hourly rate × hours per week (with optional 1.5× overtime over 40). Annual = weekly × 52. Monthly is weekly × 52 ÷ 12. Biweekly is weekly × 2.

What overtime rule do you use?

When overtime is enabled, hours over 40 in the week are paid at 1.5× the hourly rate. This is a common FLSA-style shortcut, not a full regular-rate calculation.

Is this take-home pay?

No — this tool shows gross pay. Use the paycheck calculator or take-home pay tool for a net estimate.

Do you assume 52 paid weeks?

Yes. Unpaid time off is not subtracted. PTO cash-out is a separate future tool.

Can hours be under 40?

Yes. Part-time hours simply annualize at the hourly rate with no overtime.
